Level 25

At long last level 25, half way to the level cap of 50.

Above: Recently dinged in Agamaur.

Did a really good run of quests with other Anzac memebers yesterday and pretty much did the bulk of leveling, its so much faster when you have some people helping you.... :-)

Above: One of the shade NPC's in Agamaur.

Have to say Agamaur kinda looks creepy as there are lots of Shade's for NPC's there giving it a nice errie feel to it.

Above: Scrapping out a Warg in the Lone Lands

One of the quests I am on is a bit of a pain as the mobs dont seem to drop the quest items that much, Iron-Jaws is the name of the quest and the wards seem to drop the quest items on a 1/3 to 1/4 ratio, paaah!

Above: Haragmar kinda look likes its over run with the red weed from war of the worlds.

So now I am half way there, I can see that if I went really hard that I could probably get to level 50 in about a week but there is no way I am going to play this game the way I used to play WoW that is for sure.

I'd rather savour it a bit and actually take time to "smell the roses" as such along the way.

Level 24

Level 24 here we are!

Above: Recently dinged in the Forsaken Inn in Lone Lands

Spent most of the time doing quests in North Lands and finally moved back to Lone Lands to finish of off the last of it.

Been trying to do the Great Barrows once a day as well, I really enjoy the instance now and with all Kinship runs its never been a hassle but pug runs with peeps that have never done the place can be a bit painful when people dont listen and I recently had my worst ever run with a 120s repair bill, ZOMG! o.O

Above: Scrapping out Thardur 2nd boss in a full Anzac run of the Great Barrows

Managed to pass the 3 gold barrier and should be passing the 4 gold barrier soon enough which is good as a mount costs 4 gold and 500 silver at level 35, cant wait but have a we way to go yet!

Above: Taking a midnight swim, no skinny dipping here!

Well back to Lone Lands for some more leveling!

Level 23

Woooootage! Level 23!

Above: Recently dinged in North Downs.

I seem to level allot faster if thats what I focus on instead of grinding and farming but it's hard not to farm as thats what I did so much of in WoW.

On the light side of that I now have over 3 gold.

Above: 3 gold, 222 silver and 75 the current troggle balance

So when I do finally get to level 35 I will definately have enough for my mount.

While rooming about leveling in North Downs I noticed a particular mob that looked familiar and it was the Orc in the starting cut sequence albeit toned down of course to be less polygons and a strain on the video card.

Above: The ingame model of the orc from the starting cut sequence.

I managed to do another few The Great Barrows run's as well, one of them being terrible with nuubs that would just rolled need on everything, well I made a list of the people that like to be greedy lol and will make sure not to play with them again.

LOL one player who I won't name got kicked from our last group by the leader thank gawd for rolling need on everything, he later appologised to someone saying his greed button didnt work (yeah right! what a @#$ @#$@#%@$ @#$@#$!).

That run was interesting as we had no healer but a ton of DPS and I pointed out we could heal the group by hitting the green buttons during Fellowship Manuavers which worked extremely well.

Above: Sneaking about in the ruins at the very southern tip of the Barrow Downs.

And again, I have to give lip service to how pretty this game is....

Above: I thought this was a nice idealic shot while farming.

I am starting to use my burglar abilities a bit more and got the hang of Starting Twist to get in more Surprise Strike's and increasing damage with Reveal Weakness which can used while Sneaking and does not put you into combat.

Well back to the North Downs downs for some more questing and leveling

:-)

Level 22

Ding Level 22! :-)

Above: Recently dinged in North Downs

Cleared The Great Barrows and finally got the rest of the Skull Key.

Finally got Book #1 Chapter #07 done too, it had turned grey so I need to get onto it and am now up to Chapter #10, I like the way you can actually experience the story as the game its pretty cool.

Above: Scrapping out an elite orc.

I have found farming ore to be quite profitable and now have over 2 gold even though having spent over 2 gold recently on upgrades including a nice purple level 50 dagger for when I finally cap.

Above: Me with my whopping 2 gold, 135 silver and 52 copper.

But yes it looks like I am starting to get over WoW, I kinda need to as the game is too addictive and considering the times syncs involved with it they just encourage addiction.

So far "Grinds" in LOTRO seem to be a few hours at best instead of days, weeks and months like in WoW.

Well back off to Arkenstone :-)

Level 21

Wooot! Two levels in one day!

Above: Level 21 already, most execellent.

I forgot to mention in my last post I left Eternal Keggars as the GM had left and so I joined Anzac a much more active and oceania timed Kinship.

Nice bunch of chaps.... :-)

So we went in and finsihed the Great Barrows, was a hoot.

Above: Sambrog the final boss of the great barrows

And I scored a nice upgrade too....

Above: My nice new gloves, sweeeeet!

Its nice to be part of an active kinship thats for sure.

Above: Me and the boys giving the bash to one of the many bosses in the great barrows

And as you can see the game keeps on looking better and better!

:-)

Level 20

So at long last I am level 20!

Above: Just leveled to 20 at long last!

WOOOTAGE!

Haven't been playing in a while as I hadn't payed for my subscription but that is now sorted.

Got to go to The Great Barrows instance recently but we wiped on the last boss, I was level 19 and it is a level 20 instance after all.

Above: Sambrogs portrait, the final boss of The Great Barrows.

So no surprises there, was allot of fun tho.

I really like the way the instances in LOTRO are allot shorter than WoW which seem to take waaaaay to long and such an obvious mind numbingly boring time sync.

Once again I cant stress how beautiful this game is.

Above: Yet another shot of me chilling next to a waterfall! :-)

Once I had updated my subscription it took about 1 1/2 hours to download the new patch and the game seems even cooler, can't quite pick whats new but it feels different.

Well back into it!

:-)
